Safari Battery question.

I was wondering if anyone might happen to know if there is any depth or peformance loss with Safari when the batteries begin to run down (8-AAAs)? Today I was detecting when the battery charge scale lost a bar or two. I detected for awhile longer before I changed batteries, but I couldn't help wonder if I may have been missing any targets. Thanks...

I have never noticed a drop in depth as the batteries run down. Even with 1-2 bars, it seems to still maintain the ability to detect deep!

Many Thanks, Goldstrike. Happy Hunting...

No theres no problem like that. I've continued to hunt while hearing that loud "battery about to shut down" blooping sound and still get good hits between that racket.

I have thought the same thing. I try to swap them out before they're completely drained. I think it starts acting odd when they get weak.

I think that some people think that there MIGHT be a difference when a nicad pack is used, but I haven't heard anyone comment negatively about using the 8 pack and loss of depth, etc.

Mine Lab claims there is NO loss in proformance with low battery on the Xterra.
With the Safari being digital I would expect the same.
