Went to new site today. An old church camp.Around since the 20's.Lots of area 55 acres.Was getting some clad,then got a dime signol at 5 inches. dug down and all I got was nails.Then I remembered the post I read about there still could be a target.So I dug around a little bit and there it was .A nice shiny dime.It's amazing how the Safari picked out the dime through those nails.I know I got me a good machine!! Now if I can only get some of that silver out.

it will come sounds like you have a great spot dont give up on it they are down there if you get more put up some pics i found a 1920 dime yesterday fist silver dime with my safari well first siver sorry second silver ever i love my safari just need to get better with it
Yes I was using the stock coil.When I first got the Safari I went to one of my regular spots,ACatholic War Vets lot where they have lots of outings.
It was very trashy. I was getting so many signals I was all confused.Thought I needed a smaller coil.Almost bought one to, but JW at Kellyco talked me out of it.
He said to learn to use my stock coil first. So I am.After 40 hours or so I now am geting used to the 11 inch coil.I mainly hunt in coin and jewery set on auto. now after much practice I'm starting to love this machine.More than once I've found my coin target right through nails.Amazing..Now I'm finding all sorts of things.Still want a 6x8 butterfly coil though. Probly will get one some day.But for now I will use the stock coil.Thanks to all for your help All your comments have helped me to have patients.

Cool finds!!! Im thinking about getting a Safari they sound like a pretty darn good machine...
The Safari is a nice machine. I had the V3 which was nice but it seemed more
complex than what is actually needed. Some of the bells and whistles were nice
but I felt not necessary. That's not to say anything bad etc....
In comparison I think the Safari is right at the top that offers a much simpler
approach that makes the hobby enjoyable Turn on and go with factory
settings and people are making nice finds.
In the end .... its whatever you are most comfortable with.
