Safari finds beach gold. My first.

Went to Galveston for New Years, and found these 2 items. (amongst others)

The larger of the 2 is part of a leaf from a broach or maybe a necklace. 14K ID was 18. about 4 inches down
Smaller is probably from a childs necklace or charm bracelet. 22K ID was 15. Also 4 inches down.
Total weight of 1.22 grams.
Found both right in the wet sand, 2 feet from the waters edge.
Had both tested by jeweler to confirm.
Safari sang like a canary over both targets.
Was running the Safari in all metal, sens at 16, with nothing notched out.
Going back in 2 weeks.:detecting:

Don't know why the speck showed up on the loop of the pendant. Photo taken with cell phone.

Real nice.

Great finds, I am still looking for my first real gold. Have found gold plated buttons but that doesn't count.

Thanks for the info as well.
