Safari question........

Elton

New member
What do you like about the Safari that sets it apart from other detectors ??

Is it deeper
Is it lighter
Is it a good coin hunter
Is it a good beach Machine........................ Just a brief explanation of why you like it please...

Is it as deep as the other explorer series detectors, or not ??? Thank you for your time and I do appreciate it.

Besides my Safari, I've only owned a M6 and an Omega, so you can take my thoughts with a grain of salt. The thing that stands out the most about the Safari is that the VDI seems to go an inch or two deeper in accuracy than my other two detectors. I'm not very dependent on any VDI, and the Safari audio really catches my attention when it finds a good target a bit more than my other detectors. The deeper VDI accuracy to me is just a nice bit of extra information. It's a great coin hunter, but a smaller coil in trashy areas is even more of a must for the Safari than the M6 or Omega 8000 imho. The stock coil is pretty much reserved for beach hunting for me.

As far as depth goes, A friend of mine is very competent with his SE and we have cross checked numerous targets last year. Not once has my Safari missed any deep targets his SE has found and vice versa. I only have about 30 hours on my Safari, but these are my impressions so far. I'm sure some of the more qualified users here will be of more help. HH

Will go deep. 8 programs like having 8 detectors.Very simple to use.Best buy on market at a little over 800 dollars. Will match Etrac in depth and not become a hobby on to itself. Will go deeper than AT Pro by 2 inches.Works trash very good.Discrimination reject/accept very good. Not as good with small gold but will find all american gold coins and 90 percent gold rings.AT Pro is better on gold and small jewelry .I really do not care if it is water proof or not I do not hunt in the rain and bad weather.I do not hunt very many beaches a year and most are fresh water. The Safari is awsome on a beach get very good scoop you will be digging deep.I hate the Battery drain 12 hours is bad.Balance is better with small coil.Minelab service use to be not so good but they seem to be a lot better moving to Chicago.
