Safari Simplicity?

jlw

New member
After reading the online instruction manual for the Safari it seems to be very simple to operate is this the case or in the field are things somewhat more of a learning curve?

I have owned my Safari for just a few weeks and I have been using
the factory default settings for C & J.

One thing I can say is that the settings have been very stable.
Making adjustments is very easy without having to deal with an endless menu
system as compared to another brands top model.

There are other things you can do so hunt in Ferrous or Conducive modes.
Even those settings are simply to set up etc.....

So I can say ....... I finally found a great detector that offers full band spectum
technology without having to be an engineer to figure the darn thing out!

If you like things simple ....... the Safari might just be your ticket!

Let me add that I am not a dealer for the Minelab detector.

Its pretty easy to use.... The only thing I am getting use to is Minelabs tone but I think I like it better.....

There is a learning curve to get the most from it,but it is an easy machine to use from the 'off', just start gently with the sensitivity, if auto sensitivity gives you any instability go manual and start at 10,and sweep slow in low trash setting before you use high trash, nothing wong with finding a target in low trash, then sweeping it in high to learn how it responds in the two different setings, the signals are the same..ish..but the response of the machine changes dramaticaly.

It is easy to use and you will find stuff right out of the box but the machines capabilities still amaze me. That's my 2 cents. HH :minelab:

Get a copy of Andy's Quatro book to go along with the machine and you'll feel very good about owning the Safari. Eventually I will move on to an Etrac but that's the techie in me.

:bouncy:

I was lucky to get a copy of Andy's book thanks to another member.

Without a doubt, Andy's book is a must read for any Safari owner.

On a personal note, the Etrac may have a few more features however
the Safari runs right.

All in all .... the Safari is simplistic and powerful!
