How many tones does the Safari have? How many tones does it use in Co?How many tones does it use in FE.Do not include the overload tone/alarm.As you increase your Disc do the tones change or does the low one just become the null.I bought Andys book last night it is on the way I would like to know the answer to these questions. What is cut off number to each tone?

Prep I think there are 21 tones in each CO and FE but not positive. The answer is not in Andy's new book I have the book and looked when I saw your question. I do know when you Disc. out a target number there is no sound. Good book you will be glad you got it. Be sure and read the first about FBS technology concerning depth. HH :minelab:

Great idea maybe I will accept and reject and listen to tones.I ordered Andys book late last friday nite and I got it today my post office is 16 miles and my rural carrier comes at 11:00 in morning.I came to conclusion that Andy threw the book out the window at his house into my mailbox that was fastest delivery I have ever seen.I will look at FBS depth before I go to bed.

Went out with my 11 year old son today in the woods with no headphones on so he could hear the tones. He was commenting when we would get some hits on some targets, one of his comments was "Hey Dad listen its playing musical notes"! I told him it was singing to us, it just wasn't singing the right song. We found a 1925 , and 1950 wheatie, a small oval medallion and some deep square nails. It was however nice to get out with my youngest of 4 boys. :detecting: Ron

Enjoy every minute you can with your kids mine grew up fast and moved away but now I got a new granddaughter to spoil.I detected with my dad and mom for over 25 years till they passed away.
