Safari Trash Density... High or Low?

TomH

New member
Folks,

In Andy's Quattro book he states that the all purpose setting for Trash Density should be "Low", which will give more depth and better discrimination. Yet, I have read on this forum that the "High" setting should be used as the standard on the Safari.

I generally dig in fields and woods, where trash is generally lower density. Targets tend to be scattered and far apart enough to avoid good target masking by bad targets. What is the consensus on the forum? Low or High Trash Density for general digging?

No problems at all on the high setting. What I usually use, I think it helps with faster recovery speed. Any thoughts on this, has anyone noticed the differences? Ron

Well i have a quattro and low seems a bit slower swing speed but more acurrate id when shearching. If you wana hunt quick and dont have much time then high trash is good. But for general hunting with time low setting will give you more accurate readings. Of corse some areas may be heavilly trashy then try high.
