Said goodbye to my step dad.,,,,,,,,

I was at my mom's today and could see that my step dad was failing fast. I went back over this evening to stay with her, as I felt it would be soon.
It was getting late and she told me I should go home and sleep, and that she too would try to get some rest. I stalled a little longer then decided to say goodbye knowing he would likely pass during the night. I pulled his blanket back so I could touch his shoulder. I said goodbye Skipper and then I prayed for him and mom. When I said Amen it was like God said OK Skip it is time. Then he took his few last breaths and passed away. I will miss him, but shall remember all the good times we had. Please pray for my mom and the family.
