For 4 days my partner and I have been coming out of this park with 50 or more coins each. We hit the south end of the park today. Dave had a great quarter day. I called him but he still hadn't counted the quarters yet. He fell asleep when he got home. 
Don't laugh that happens when you get older. 
Had some junk targets, mostly pull tabs because they were coming up with 30-31 numbers, great nickle signals with the high tone. These were the deeper pull tabs that I dug 4" +. All I had to do was stick my screwdriver in and I could tell if it was a nickle or not with shallower targets. We all have to develop little ways to dig the better targets. The ground is getting harder and harder as the dry days come and go. Another way is if the F70 gives a 2" depth reading: push the screwdriver into the ground and use it to make a little circle hole in the ground about 2" down. If you are using the Garrett pin pointer you should hear the pin pointer go off. If it doesn't your target is bigger than a coin and could be down more than 4" or your pin pointing isn't so hot. With the 6.5" coil it is super easy to pin point very accurately, many times I am hitting the coin with the screwdriver when I am marking where the target is using the screwdriver. I always mark the target with the screwdriver. Sometimes I am distracted by something or someone and forget where the target was. Than using the pin pointer to really zero in on the target.
