Sand Scoop RTG Simple Mod :hot:

OK, I have seen all the DIY sand scoops out there and was not satisfied with the quality... I did some browsing and found exactly what i was looking for at a great price and free shipping. Kelly-co had it for 59.90 vs 79.95 everywhere else and that inc free shipping.

So i splurged and got it. Delivered today and it is SO worth it! unless you have a welder and the skills to use it you will never be able to make one of these for 60 bucks. The 1 issue i have with it is i am going to have to hold it the entire freaking time i am detecting...

Even though its very light "less then 2 pounds" I now have both arms tied up... How am i going to smoke? Drink? Scratch myself? lol

A simple mod made it so much better.... I'm sure its been done but here is my version. ......Drilled a hole through the handle and there was already a space on the bottom so I just used heavy duty wire ties for now but i am going to replace them with metal rings and i attached a spare adjustable bag strap i had lying around and voila.. I have a free arm again!!! Yeah!!!! Don't be checking out the chick... she did not come with the scoop!

Hey Digmeahole ... if you have another one of those straps, you could tie it to the ice chest so she could pack both the scoop AND the beer -- problem solved!
