Terry Soloman

New member
How often should I be lubricating the O-ring on my Sand Shark, and when my supply runs out (came with the machine), what do I buy and where do I buy it?

Terry,

Pool supply stores sell the thick silicone lube for there O-rings (pumps, filters, and such).....lube it before it becomes to dry........I used to use it on my maglight O-rings, if you felt drag when screwing on the ends it needed silicone, other wise the rubber O-rings could get cut or damaged.........................HaRM

One can never have enough lube

Thanks everyone - even you Cuzzi, you ring-findin'-after-work-so-and-so!

I talked to Tesoro about this and was informed that the main function was to preserve/protect the o ring. Not so much as a seal per se.
I like to make sure the o ring appears slightly damp with the silicon whenever I have the case open and add a smidgeon if needed.
