I have both, and the SMPI (Pro) beats the SS, even when the SS has a 10" coil. I also upped the frequency on the SS to shorten the sample delay, and picked up some extra depth. Still falls short of the SMPI. However, the SS seems to run a little smoother, and I prefer the VCO audio on the SS.
