Sarah, my 14 year old joins the ranks of "Artist".....

Sarah is a high level gymnast, she's goes to an Olympic class training center 2 sometime 3 times a week for 4 hour gymnastic sessions. She is solid muscle with nearly 13" arms... not bad for a 14 year old. She asked me what was the most number of pushups I ever did at one time, I told her in the Army I did 82 pushups without stopping. She has been trying to beat my record and is so far up to 60+ full pushups (not girl pushups off the knees). I feel in another month she's going to beat me.

Anyway, Sarah has struggled with art for years, seeing what her sisters could do she was frustrated that she wasn't obtaining that level. I told her that none of the girls really started to get good until they were 13, 14 years old. Well, I think Sarah is blossoming into a very talented young lady. She has been inspired by her older sister, Hannah, computer drawn artwork, and has been diligently practicing her craft. You will see by this sequence of 6 pictures Sarah has drawn with a computer program called Gimp. These are drawn freehand using a mouse as a pen, then colored or painted with the program. Every little minor shading of color is hand done and put in layers numbering in the hundreds per picture. You will see the sequence of her first attempt and then the major improvement as she learns and grows in her artistic ability. Shown is just a sampling of what she has done.

Thanks for looking,
Vernon
