Well Twistidd and I tried our luck at another old woods, we meet up with 4 of our buds that has had some luck at this spot in the past. I did find 3 Wheaties but early on in the hunt a group of tots and parents surrounded me asking 100 questions so I gave them my first 2 wheat's (1934 & 1940), you should of seen their faces, you would of thought I gave them a gold coin or something. Their parents thanked me like 5 times. LOL

Well after a few hours I thought I gave away my best finds of the day!!!! Me and Twistidd went looking for another spot further in the woods but to no avail. On our way back I found my 3rd Wheaties and not 10 min later I saw a blue embossed bottle partially sticking out of the side of an embankment. I said "EMBOSSED BOTTLE" immediately me and Twistidd started scanning for more. LOL - I guess I was rewarded for being nice and giving away my little bit of treasure to the little kids. I'm not exactly sure of all that was found today but I know there was a sharp Barber quarter, a 1919s Merc, silver Rossie, more Wheaties and a lot of clad. Here is my finds...

Any info on the bottle would be great like a time period or anything approximate age. Could it be from the 20's or 30's or a little bit older? It does have a seam that ends just below the lump of the lip of the bottle (like an inch below the very top). Is it a water or soda bottle? This is my 2nd embossed bottle that I found. It also has a lot of air bubbles in it and it has some chips but I am super happy that I saw it and that it was in-tacked when I pulled it out.

L in a keystone........Lincoln Glass Bottle Company, Lincoln, IL (1942-1952). Plant sold to Obear-Nester Glass Co. in 1952.

I have posted some good links in bottle forum if you find any more...

I was sent a newspaper article that said Lincoln glass was sold to Coca-Cola in 1910 and the molds were changed for coke bottles. I was told from a local hunter/collector that my bottle was from about 1904 to 1907. Thanks for lookin.
