Saturday and Sunday were

Mike Chgo area

Well-known member
spent on the Harley. Nice ride on Sunday through the country to Wisconsin for a late lunch and a coffe stop on the way home. The trees are starting to change colors very fast it seems. Went out yesterday and hit a few School playgrounds as the schools were closed for Columbus Day. Got a one dollar coin, 12 quarters, 17 dimes, 8 nickels, and 20 pennies. Also got a couple of earrings and one may be silver. Nice day for hunting. Kind of cool then it got warm after 330pm. May get out for a couple of hours in a forest preserve close to here. Hope its cool enough to keep the skeeters down. When it warmed up yesterday they were out in force at the last play ground I hit.

Congrats Mike on a beautiful day for riding and hunting! You sure did good on the coins and if I had felt like it, I would have detected some school grounds too, but just couldn't as I still haven't gotten completely over the sick spell I had after going to the country and back Sept 24th. I think I got food poisoning and it is still working on my stomach and giving me problems! I know Jesus is healing me but in His own time, so maybe I need to draw closer to Him then I have been....we get in a routine of sitting back on our laurels....and not doing what we are supposed to be doing for Him!  I have another poem but haven't typed or posted it as yet! It seems illness and the trials of selling and moving has kept me too busy to do God's work like I should! I guess my flesh gets in the way too many times!

Have fun traveling and :detecting: and find lots of goodies! Stay well and happy in the Lord and hope the skeeters don't carry you away and make a big meal of you! They sure can bite and gnats are terrible when they get up the nose and fly around the eyes....pesky things they are!!! Briars and burrs aren't fun either!

God Bless!

Hi Mike, I do drink Root Beer and I like it! But it is wierd because when I first came to St. Louis after graduating from high school, I couldn't stand the stuff, as it reminded me of the horrible tea Mom used to give me when I was sick! Yuck! Yuck! I dislike tea to this day, but I do like Root Beer and especially Root Beer floats..... Maybe that is why Ma is heavier now than at 18! Stay safe and hope you get the goodies! :)

God Bless!
