Hunted two parks for a total of 6 hours today with DIV4GOLD... I came out pretty good this time, with a 1906-D Barber Dime and a 1917-D Buffalo Nickel.
Doesn't seem that great compared to what most of you are posting, but the parks here in STL have been POUNDED, and those of us who haven't lived here long weren't left with much to find. I need to take a few road trips, hit some sites elsewhere, somewhere Golddigger and Guvner haven't already hit
I can tell that the detail is pretty good on the Buffalo, but its so dirty that its hard to see. Any suggestions for cleaning it up? I've used soap and water, and I also tried baking soda, though that usually only works on silver. I didn't use anything but soap and water on the barber dime.

That key!!!! Gaslight era??? I found one almost
identical here in a NJ park on Friday...solid brass
hand made, with a 1 inch diameter x 1/8 thick washer
and a 3/8 center hole, attached, for thumb pressure
turning of the key...the key is 2 inches long, how does the one that you found match up with those
dimensions? I've been trying to identify it or what
it was used for all day...I may have to check with
W&E Treasures Mark Parker for the answer.... By the
way, nice finds....

Yeah it was a long day. Wish we could have done better than we did. I have some ideas for next week. I'll be out all day tomorrow as well.

Better buy a lot of gas and plan on driving very far to find spots not pounded by Golddigger! Seriously.
Great finds!!!
