schematic help

Sandmagnet

New member
HI,
I would like to rebuild an old probe that was very sensitive and worked well until I submurged it. I cut the leads off thinking I could get another board on-line, but it wasn't the same design. I'm not sure where the two coils from the probe hooked in or the speaker. Does anyone recognize the design and have any info or the original schematic? Any help would be appreciated! Happy Hunting!

hi, seems like Automax Precision pinpointer schematic. visit http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14500&highlight=pinpointer

It didn't have a brand and wasn't a factory probe. Someone dutring a conversation said " try this schematic" it works better than the one being sold on the web. I scratch built it and worked well. It was more sensitive than my Vibra Probe. Thanks for your help! HH

There are a few sites with schematitics of homebrew pinpointers on the web...I have downloaded a few of the schematics, just had no time or money to build one yet...
