Back on june 30 I said I was taking my scorp to the beach for the first time, well I did & my wife and I had a great time,so much fun lots of finds. well I took a pic of my finds to post & my daughter misplaced my flash card. Well she found it last nite in her purse so now I am going to post it. I am flat impressed with the depth at which we were finding coins, a lot of quarters at 12 "

Alright!:clapping:Good hunt!:detecting:You should take that Scorpion out to the gold fields some time and getcha some nuggies. It's a good coin shooter too, but I know I can't hardly wait to hit them goldfields again. That's my favorite.:bouncy:Let that Scorpion do some stingin':biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

Your'e right= Fine finds ya got there= Scorpion is kinda hard to believe-> sure do a fine job, and do it very well-> more than can be expected :garrett:

I got the scorp to take to quartzsite to detect for gold when I'm down there for the big swap meet.I did not know it would be so much fun coin shooting .they say you have to dig a thousand targets before you find a nugget. well the scorp is finding me plenny of targets, boot tacks nails ,bullets, brass shells tin cans, tobbaco cans all at 8 to 10 inches , a few at 12. my deepest target so far is an inch and a half galvanized pipe I found while detecting azusa east fork canyon, It was over a foot and a half deep, then again its a lot of metal but i was still impressed. one day a nugget will be mine

Sounds good, buddy!:thumbup:That Quartzsite/Dome Rock area is where I found my first nugget and it was done with the Scorpion. It was a half gram and that area is known for smaller nuggets, but there have been some larger ones found there as well. That's correct about every thousand targets per nugget.:detecting: Can be more or less, but that's right. I've dug all those things you've mentioned. Espesially those darn boot tacks:rage:The ground out there is not very hot, either, as compared to Rich Hill, etc. I just enjoy being out there in that beautiful country. Best of luck to ya'. Them nuggets are there in the ground just waitin' for ya'.:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

You know I wish I had kept all the bottle caps we found, there were a lot of old ones.I bet we picked up over a hundred of them. the life guards said they have never seen anyone detect the beach before. What blows me away is to be at quartzsite halfway up a mountain in the middle of nowhere and dig a target 8" deep and it turns out to be a boot tack. how in the world did it get there.
