Scorpion gets a Shield Nickel

Dig'em All

New member
Been really sick for the last two weeks. I have been laid up so I could not get out to hunt and boy the weather was great for it and with me being sick it just made it hurt more. I did do a small two hour hunt yesterday with my Ace 250 and found some clad and a 925 silver ring. So today I took the Scorpion and mine likes to hit nickels for some reason, maybe I am learning it more I do not know but it gives a sound on nickels and I want to say that when It gives that sound I know It is a nickel but that would be overstating it. But mine does bang on nickels. When I pulled the Shield Nickel I was happy because I knew it was old but I did not know for sure. So I hope you all can understand because I have never had one before and then to learn that not many are found, well condition is everything in old coins and this one was in the ground for many years. I hope the pics are good enough for you all to see, it looks better in person, I do know it looks better then I will after I have been it the ground for as long as it has been. Your machine swinging friend Dig'em All P.S. I think the date is 1867
