Scorpion to GTI2500 upgrade

I have been using my Scorpion seen ninety four and being dyslexic I took my time getting use to it. I found a lot of stuff with it over the years

I'm thinking of adding a GTI2500 to my collection for and all around treasure hunting and gold machine.

I'm looking for opinions on my idea. Both pro and con. I basically made up my mind but still want feed back.

Go for it then you'll have two great machines. The 2500 is a real killer. I thought so when I field tested that puppy back in 1997 and I still do. You won't regret it. It does have a bit of a learning curve ut nothing you can't master in a short time. Good luck and keep us posted on your success.

I couldn't agree more with Uncle Willy. Go for it!:thumbup:Of all my machines, the GTI 2500 is by far the one that gets the most use. It is in incredible creation! Thank you Mr. Garrett!:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

I picked up a propointer today and tried IT out around the house and learned how to use it in about half a minute. I'm going back out digging for gold in the morning. If the GTI 2500 is half as easy to learn as the propointer then I'll be a very happy camper.
I'm sold on the idea of the GTI 2500 and I won't get it till payday. My Scorpion is picking up all sorts of hot rocks this week and two tiny nuggets. Found nails and spikes also.

Please post photos of the nuggets and some of your other finds. I am very keen on the idea of prospecting with my detector if I ever find myself in gold country. Where did you find your gold?

The Pro-Pointer is the second best MD purchase I have made without question. My find rate increased dramatically after getting it and I can leave the ground in pristine condition because I know right where my target is. I have accidentally left it home twice and felt helpless (not entirely) without it.

I use a 2500 exclusively. You sound like a seasoned hunter and it should take you only a few hours to become accustomed to it. My 2500 is my best MD purchase. I am very fond of it and it has rewarded me greatly. Learn to take advantage of both the discriminate and true all metal modes. Today I found a very deep silver dime using true all metal. Maybe I'll make a silver coin hunter out of myself someday.

The main problem I had with my 2500 was the weight. I have a nagging back injury and the weight alone killed me. I had to go to a more updated and lighter machine. Although I sometimes miss my old 2500 and the nice lady's voice, I am convinced I made the right move. I was a died in the wool Garret user and I still have my ACE 250. The 2500 has been around everal years with only minor upgrades. I personally think it's a bit dated but you probably will like it ok as many do. Onus

Sciatica is my problem that will slow me down but I will not let it stop me. I will keep moving till the coroner takes my pulse and pronounces me stiffer then the board he will use to remove me from the field.
My propointer did find a tiny nugget and trash that some dumb camper left behind. I used it after I picked it up with my scorpion.
Two more days till I get my GTI 2500 (payday.)
I'm excited like it's going to be an early birthday present to myself.
Thank you for all the reply's. Backs up my thoughts about the GTI 2500
