SE headphone problems.

New member
I accidently knelt down on the headphome plug of my SE the other day and broke something. Now the jack wont go all the way in. Im thinking it should be simple to crack open and fix. Any warnings? lol

Those jacks usually need replacement after a lot of usage anyway even without being kneeled on . If you heard a crack (or even if you didn't ) I would send it back to Minelab for repair ( that's just me ) . Explorers are pretty hardy but they do have parts that wear out . Hope you don't have to wait a long time for your repairs .

hello you can split top of the handle and check whats wrong with your headphone plug. take of the battery, take of hand supporter, rubber battery door, unscrew top 4 or 5 screws and split handle in to peaces, and you will have enough space to change it. good luck on older explorers they all was sited on hot glue.

Its pretty new but thats what Im thinking. Cant afford to send it in right now with a couple months turnaround as its about to be my livelihood.
