SE question

I have a question for all the SE users, especially those that has used the EX2 also. Do you find the EX2 more stable and even deeper than the SE? Is there a difference in the stability and depth in the coils? I've been running my SE in iron mask 22, sensitivity @ 22-26, gain @ 5-6,in conductivity, varability and limits @ 10.Targets at 5+ inches the cursor bounces around even on good targets.I appreciate your inputes! Thanks, Ed

Thats why I kept my ExpII and sold the SE. The SE is to iffy for me, I dig mostly repeatable signals I know, I know some of you have dug up some nice coins that were iffy, but in my dirt iffy has always come up oranges, I do dig iffy when I go back to sites I have hunted many times before and I always say I knew it was junk. My hound just has a pretty good nose and when he trees, you can bet it's a good target. I will wait until the Explorer V comes out and check those iffy's again, it's a hobby, I just have fun and I will not sell my silver, it becomes my grandson's collection at 20.

i would drop your iron mask down to 10 and go into CONDUCT mode, normal audio, deep off, fast off, variability 10, gain 6, manual sensitivity as high as it can go without getting too chatty. i say CONDUCT mode because in parks with lots of foil and other junk, if you're in FERROUS, the junk will sound a lot like coins. CONDUCT will make the foil lower and the coins high squeeks. FERROUS is good for the beach or demos where you want to dig everything above iron. but if you're hunting for oldies in a park, CONDUCT is the only way to go.
