SE vs Etrac

Generally speaking in the same ground conditions will the SE go as deep or deeper than the E-trac? I like my X-70 but I want a deeper MD. My X-70 has found me many coins but I know I am missing the deeper ones. I put a penny at 8"in a coin garden at the X-70 could not find it, no tone at all. I am assuming the SE will find it. Basically I like my X-70 but I want the deeper ones.Is the Etrac worth the$200 more than the SE? I could care less about computer connection with the etrac.

Check out Kelly Co Detectors compare feature. You can choose different detectors to compare. it's pretty good.

SE will find it, for sure. If the SE will, the E-Trac will too. If you have the extra money, go for the E-Trac. If you're short of funds, pick up a used SE (they're going relatively cheap these days because of the E-Trac). The X-70 is no slouch either, have you done more testing to be sure you're maxing out what it can do?

They will both go as deep. The Etrac is a much more stable unit and is better at finding good targets in high trash or within close proximity to iron. I like the real time sensitivity reading and the large easy to read numbers etc. You would do fine with an SE, and yes there some good deals on used ones out there. Try to find one with the Pro coil since it is a winner!

Question, with the microprocessor the E-trac has (32bit 48 MHz) does the E-Trac process items quicker?
