SE - X1 Probe

JM

New member
First day out with the X I Probe ,and what a great piece of kit it is ,saving time in the field, and finding the targets so easy ,up to 3.5" on a english

Regardless of what your depth meter says, when a target hits in the foil/nickel range (just above the pinpoint on/off indicator on the smart find screen), always check the ground first with the X-1 before you dig. If you pick it up with the probe before you even dig, it is usually a small piece of foil close to the surface. I don't know how many times I have cut a large plug only to find it wasn't a nickel at 6 inches but a small piece of foil at only 1 inch deep or barely below the surface. Small foil really fools the depth gauge on the SE.

Can't wait to get mine. I ordered it and I was told they had a backlog and it would be a couple weeks. (left side swing)
