New Garret owner here.
I have read everything I can find on PI machines. Just received two books from CJC to help with the learning curve.
Can someone tell me what I am doing, electronically speaking, when I turn the elimination knob from 0 to 9?
Is it changing the delay before sampling a target signal?
Here is why I ask. I tested the SH today on several targets in my test garden. I was able to "eliminate" each known target by slowly increasing the elimination number.
For instance, at 0, it would see a nickle, but at about 4, it would pass over the target. At around 6, 18kt gold would disappear. Quarters were good all the way up to 8 or 9.
I am hoping I can use this to help me ID targets a little,
I know the rule of thumb is to dig all targets, I am just trying to understand how this particular machine works.
Thanks
Tony
