Sea hunter or Infinium?

I have waited for a new Garrett detector and it looks like it is not going to happen this year. I am looking for a water detector; what detector would work best for the salt water beaches ? The sea hunter mark 11 or the infinium?

They're both great. I've used the Infinium LS for years as it is also great for prospecting/nugget hunting which is my favorite. I just recently started using the Sea Hunter MK II a few weeks ago and I love it for the beach. Depth seems to be the same on both machines and they do go deep, so be ready to do some diggin'. I don't really prefer one over the other. I enjoy using them both from time to time at the salt water beach. You can't go wrong either way. Enjoy. Happy Hunting!:)

I had both, and seem to enjoy the Infinium a bit more. I like the sounds it makes ie High-Low for gold targets & Low-High signals for copper/silver. But they are both great machines. :)

Beach only? Mark II. Great machine. Beach/Prospecting/Relic Hunting? Infinium all the way!

Good luck!

Alan
