this baby is still a hog for deep sunglasses, i can tell now that excaliber was missing many targets....(sunglasses) i thought i found alot with it, apparently i just scratched the surface.
today i do know what a hair pin sounds like
had a very mixed bag of goodies today..........pic on beach forum...............rings, pins, earring, many bottle caps........you name it
today i was lucky, no targets beyond 10 scoops down.
still have noise at the end of sweep to the left, i think now it is lag, when i do not swing back to the right fast enough.

Your detector may be picking up on your scoop when you swing to the left, Unless you have a plastic scoop.

why don't you get into the water without any metal on you at all. Just you and the detector.
Sweep in one direction, then turn around and go back in the other direction. If it's caused by something in the water it will change from left to right side as you change directions.
Sometimes on a long wide sweep going from shallow to deep water it make talk to you a bit, but turning around would change it to your other side.
Try not making such a wide sweep, but first try it without any metal with you. Makes sense ??? <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
Have a nice day.
