Second hunt of the year and I am on the board with silver!

This is only my second outing since the start of the new year due to bad weather and snow/ice storms which usually are not that bad in my state (Va.).
Yesterday was nice and close to 60 degrees so I decided to give it a go before more rain and possibly some snow came in today.
This is about my 5th time at this site which is an old school dating back to 1934 I believe and there is a huge field behind the school that I have been searching.
This makes the 5th silver coin i have found here and it sure was a pretty sight to see after not being able to get out to detect for so long.
This area was impacted by a major flood back in the late 60's, so I am not sure if alot of soil was removed during clean up or the older coins sunk too deep to detect further out in the field closer to the river.
I have not found any silver or older coins in that area...only in an area that is furthest from river and may not have been as impacted.
Anyhow, Thanks for looking!

Very nice score on the Merc Felix!! Keep at it as I feel there is more silver in the vicinity. You are right in your flood assessment. It’s one of the furthest points away from the river. The ground may have been covered from the flood where you are finding the silver but it wasn’t torn up like it was closer to the river.

Congrats on the Merc and clad. Excellent first silver for the year. # 2 is right around the corner, keep swingin. Like you I have only been out twice this year, dug a few keepers, unfortunately no silver yet. Good luck.
