SEF 8X6 Finds

Prep1957,
Kellyco didn't have a 8x6" sef coil in stock, so I traded up to a 4.5x7"DD Excelerator coil
for my Safari. I hope this works as well as your 8x6" coil.

I think it will ,let me know ,It took Kellyco over 40 days on back order for my 6X8 I will not let that happen again.I have not went hunting since last Sunday night since I saw a mosquito having sex with a turkey. The highs are suppose to be in 70's with 40 mph winds perfect detecting weather should slow the mosquito's from feasting on me.Good luck with new coil the Safari really sucks up coins in the trash.

Prep1957,
What state do you live in? Hopefully, you won't see a new breed of mosquito's with feathers.
I'm impatient with back-orders. I don't like to wait too long, especially when they couldn't give
me any kind of ETA. This 4.5x7" coil is second on my list. I'm sure it will have great separation
abilities, but it will cover less ground in a given time.
There's only about a good month of fair weather left before the tourists go home with their
jewelry, etc. so I need that smaller coil now on this trashy beach.
We have a fairly dry healthy climate here in North Idaho. I have yet to be bitten by a mosquito
and no poisonous snakes.
The flip side is there are few older parks, etc. to find old coins and other goodies and
I have competition with other metal detectorists.

I live in communist/bankrupt State of Illinois about 70 miles southwest of Chicago turkey size mosquito's are the least of our problems, but we have had a lot of rain and detecting has been very good.Last year the farmers could not get crops out this year it looks good this year I have a lot of good spots lined up.There are a lot of guys that hunt around here but they kind of gave up they think they have hunted everything out I have not really told them about minelab's yet, wait that is not really true I told them they were very expensive, make to many flute sounds,no depth, etc and if you have to other brand stickers will cover right over the minelab stickers. We also have a great poison ivy crop this year.Goose hunting and fishing tomorrow at 5am will start coin hunting Sunday have virgin 1850 farm house to hunt.I got to look up that resort you are at Outer Banks getting little expensive spent about 9 thousand this year with beach house for just one week.

Prep1957,
I used to live in Homestead, Florida (close to the Everglades) so I know
what big Mosquito's are like. We do have a lot of wild Turkey, Moose, Deer,
Elk, Mountain Lions, Black Bear and some Grizzly Bear, etc. here in
North Idaho plus a lot of large lakes and mountains, so I always carry
my camera and my metal detector and you never know what you are going
to find with either instrument.
Photo below shows City of Coeur D' Alene and Lake Coeur D' Alene (25 miles long)
looking back at the beaches and mountains and forests.
