SEF coil 8x6 and Safari shaft

Hello, I recently purchased coil SEF 8x6" to my Minelab Safari, but I have a problem. The wire of the coil is thicker that the wire coil 11" DD and I am not able to introduce inside the shaft. I don

Mine did not have that problem but I have seen other posts that did I think they tied a string or rod to end and pulled and stretched it in.Maybe wait and see what other people did.

That's exactly what mine was like and I also tied a piece of string to it, pulled it thru and worked fine. I must say also, that it is a fine coil.
