General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

I have a DFX that is in superb condition that I want to sell.
I have with it the following accessories:

Rechargeable Battery Pack + charger
AA Battery Pack
Sunray DX-1 Pinpointer (total use of about 4 hours)
Standard DFX Coil (the one that comes on it originally)
Standard Coil Cover
2 foot base that holds the detector box up out of the wet grass when you sit it down
Eclipse Shooter DD 4x6 Brand new
Book - Digging Deeper with the DFX
Original Manual
Original Whites Headphones

I am trying to determine if I would be better off to split these items up and sell them individually or sell the whole package together.
Do you think $1000 for the entire package is too much to ask? Everything is in excellent condition.

Please advise - I appreciate your opinions.

Hibby.... I would not go to much lower... But you do not mention age of detector, if still under warranty, but here is how I see the break down...

If the dfx is around 2 years old or less...maybe $600-$650 with the basics...

The new 4 x 6 coil at least $110 plus $10-15 for shipping.

The dx-1 probe if in good shape at least $110-$130...

The bases if those are just the ones that go around box and keep out of grass...probably a throw in...

The book maybe $10-15, add $5 for shipping...

Just my thoughts seeing you asked for advice... So depending on age of dfx...sounds like $850 would be a very good packaged price.... A picture of everything cleaned up would probably get it sold....good luck.... Gregg

Hang in there.Gregg is right,depending on the age and condition. There's always a knucklehead in the bunch.
