Sensitivity question at max

In my limited testing in wet salt sand and in salt water I did not notice any depth reduction but the reduced sensitivity did quiet the falsing to an acceptable level. My feeling is that the ATMax is a VERY sensitive detector compared to my ATPro and I needed to reduce its sensitivity more than the ATPro. I do not consider this a bad thing, The ATMax's sensitivity, in my opinion is very good. As with any detector slight adjustments are needed depending on the environment and user's preference.

You shouldn't lose any depth if it's set at a point where the detector runs stable. However, if you run the machine with too high of a sensitivity, you will start losing targets, as the coil will start reading the mineralization in the ground.
