Serious question.

I have a HUGE testimony of prayer and of the gospel. At this time I am very bitter toward the big money hungry churches. Especially ones that worry too much about their TV performance than the people that come to them. Is anybody else here stuck inbetween churches and is scared to pray because they might get an answer they do not want?

Seriously. I don't want anybody to feel bad for me. I have really been through a lot in this life and I know I must endure to the end. I love the Lord and what he has done for me, sure life is hard. I know its hard for most everybody but thats how we grow and learn. I wouldn't want others problems and I know nobody would want mine. Some we create, and others we get into because trouble finds everyone.

We are to forgive everyone 70 times 7 times and we are not to judge others.

If some christians knew I was married 4 times, I lost 6 children to divorces, and I just lost my job today, they would judge me fast.

BUT, If the first divorce was completly my fault, The second cause she decided after 4 children she wanted to go completly away from the teachings of Christ, The third was my love and she died cause her arthritus ate her lungs, and the 4th because she was a gold digger and I was lonely. And I was able to pray and get custody of 2 of my 4 children and raise them since they were 6 and 7. Maybe they could relate and not judge.

I lost my job cause I refuse to overcharge for computer work and the owner needs more money. I just can't feel good about myself when he wants me to charge 2 hours for less than 10 minutes of work. I work strickly on commission and I don't make enough to survive and thats why I find gold. I just refuse to steal from people.

Anyway, I don't care if I get judged on here. I know who I am and I know the Lord knows who I am and thats all that counts to me. I am just currious if any other christians are affraid of answers to prayers, even though they have had many prayers answered in a wonderful way. Thank you.

My answer will be short and to the point. Follow Jesus and listen to His Holy Spirit to lead you in the direction He wishes you to go. Live the truth of His Word and don't worry about denomination. If you follow the truth, denomination will take care of itself.

I will pray for you to have peace and calmness in your life! One door closes and another door opens, have faith and always do the right thing, better days ahead for you, Best of Luck Hank.

Sure many are afraid of what answer they may get when praying. I am not afraid of the answer because I know when I ask that I may not get the answer I am praying for. I believe that the stronger ones faith is the easier it is for one to except the Lord's answers.

I was in a church that I really didn't believe in all they taught. And for a good reason. HOWEVER, while in that church amazing prayers were answered. PLEASE no negitive comments here BUT I was Latterday Saint or Mormon for a long time.

The Lord is there for ANY that believe and I do believe that, even if their church is a bit misguided.

I think I am afraid mainly cause I haven't gone to any church since I tried a missionary church that had to please its TV audience AND had to announce who they were helping so they could pat themselves on the back. AND make the people they were helping feel like an ant.

To PM me if you have more questions.
That way it is more private.
God bless.

He does not always give us the answer we want. But his plan is perfect!

Feel free to PM me, as well, and I'd be happy to help you find a good place to worship, if you wish. God bless.

Hi Scubadiver! Sorry to hear about your bad experience with the church you attended, but don't give up and like Martin (SeniorSeeker) says, follow Jesus in His biblical teachings and listen to God's Holy Spirit as you walk on His lit path and He will lead and guide you into all truth and even to the right church....soooo be blessed in knowing God loves you in Jesus' precious and holy name! Amen! My prayers are for the perfect labor to be sent to you to help you in praying and seeking the truth of Who God really is...but I am sure you already know Who He is as your own personal Savior! Amen! Ma Betty
