I would like to pass along my experience with Tesoro's service dept. I recently found a 1937 canadian penny, and in my excitement I laid my Golden Umax down. I had my pinpointer in my hand and looking at the date on the penny I dropped the pinpointer, it hit my threshold knob breaking it off. I called Tesoro and they said send it in. When I got it back they had sent a new battery cover tuned it up and put a new knob on it at no charge. I called them to explain that the machine was doing it's job it was the operator that messed up. They said lifetime warranty!! NO CHARGE!!! Try that with a White's or Minelab. What a great experience. Shorty2

correct! how? answer is,they make detectors that are simple, well built,
find targets on a comparable level with any other detector on the market,
AND provide exemplary service when necessary for a LIFETIME.
"crackerjack" company! just sayin'

Hi Shorty2, I can't help but make a habbit of jumping in when I get the chance and remind those not knowing, that Tesoro's Great Service has always been that way from their beginning. None of the other Companys, big or small, can make that claim and have only lately made any attempt at consideration of their customer 's satisfaction with their products or service. That alone speaks volumes about what I will spend my $$ on for my next machine, new or otherwise. HH, Charlie

Oh, I did forget to tell ya that they paid shipping on the return. (From their end). The knob shaft was broken, I don't think I would have wanted to try to fix it. I do own other detectors, I have a minelab safari which is a nice machine but it weighs so much I can only swing it once a week!! I was reading in their forum where someome sent one in for repairs and the board cost them over $400.00. I see they now give you a two year warranty, instead of one.

I'm considering a machine for saltwater. I'm hearing some good stuff about Garrett, Whites, and Minelab as well as Tesoro. Which one will I get? Hello!!! We're talking about corrosive saltwater here...and for the way I'll be using it I'll have to go with the Sandshark from Tesoro. Maybe the others have some advantages but I'll have to go with the one with the best warranty because I'll be out everyday in the summer....hmmmmmm....let's see.....which one has the best warranty????
