Shadow X5 Coil Question

Hello,

What is the coil you use most on the x5? I recently got a shadow x5 with the 9 inch coil and I'm wondering how popular the coil is with x5 users. I'm thinking the coil will get by in most situations.

I have an X5 and use the 9" most but I do have and use the 7" for trashy areas. Both are good.

All depends on soil contamination. If lots of trash, the smaller the better. Cleaner ground, more cover, better depth. I had the X2 & X5. The 7" was standard on the X2 and I found some of my best finds with it. When the 9" came out, I was able to cover more ground and just a litlle bit more depth. The X5 I think came stardard with the 9" coil. Sold it in a year or two. Wasnt overly impressed. Still have my x2. Light weight and great for tot lots and someplace you dont want to dig to China. But has very good depth with the 7".

Just have to try them all and see what works best in your neck of the woods.
