Shaft setup for diving with the Excal.

For those of you diving or snorkeling with the Excalibur how do you have the detector setup? Anyone using an upper shaft other than the stock one? Any thoughts on mounting the controls to a weight harnes and using a short handheld rod for the coil? ? I'll be hunting mostly with a DC hookah or floating a tank behind me in a small SOT kayak.

The stock upper works ok for diving with the short lower rod. I really like the 3 piece "travel" setup all around. Works great for wading or huting on land, remove lower part and it runs nice and short for diving without having to switch lower rods.
