shallow silver

Finally got out again for a short hunt. Dry ground and small coil makes for poor depth but the great discrimination of the Tejon picked these out of the trash.

'36 merc with lots of tarnish and a nice clean '61 roosie from about a foot apart. The sterling ring with the turquoise came from an area with sprinklers that popped up just after I found it and sent me running. I had to put my detector down and go back into the spray to fill in my hole.

Got permission to hunt my first private virgin (I hope) yard in an old section of Brooklyn. Raining here now and I will try the yard tomorrow. Will post the goods if there are any worthy.

Wow! Nice finds. You're lucky to find some virgin ground.

Jolly Roger ultimates. I will keep using/repairing them til they crap out but I really don't like them. Quality in my opinion is substandard.

When I opened them up to see why one side kept going silent I found used speakers with a kindergarten solder job. The speakers had stubs of old wire attached next to the new wire and they had grind marks where information printed on the back had been removed. Trust me..I know this is a strong accusation but I have experience with soldering and electronics...my father had a wire harness manufacturing business in the late 60's to early 70's and we manufactured goods for big companies such as IBM.

I never use the VCO mode. I like the tone as it is. I keep the threshold around 3 O'clock.
