Shallow Water Bull sharks!!!!!

Well I head out to Miami "South Beach" during a 4ft low tide around sunset. While I was out hunting the sandbars you normally can't get to, I noticed several small "Bull Sharks" coming very close and bumping the coil while I was hunting! Talk about making your blood stop moving.LOL they seemed to be interested in the coil only not me, thank god. I shut the machine off and they took off. Very weird,, Oh and I didn't find very much at all even though I was right in a trough. I think it's time to get the machine tuned up..

Swirls around your legs. I had this happen in the Chesapeake Bay years ago. I don't go past the surf line anymore.

Well living in Miami, where there is a "huge" number of Bullsharks I know how nasty these guys are no matter how long they are. Most of the three or four were about three feet long but there was one that was over four feet! You should see an arial photo of the beach along Key Biscayne, there are always at least twenty of them just cruising out past the swimmers.

They are probably all around me too in Galveston, but they are not as readily visible in the murky waters there. I have seen 3 foot sand sharks darting around between the 2nd and 3rd bars, but never any real large ones.

That's how they can find prey even when it is hiding under the sand like a flounder or a skate. The little guys will only take a fist size hunk out of you but that's too much for my liking.

I once took a helicopter ride along the surf at Daytona.
Lots of big shadows lurking just off the beach. Gulp!
