She sat outside the Barber shop

Congrats on the great silver and IH's, and wheats! I also like the toy! Very good hunting, Beale.

I absolutely love those seated ladies! I know this sounds a bit strange, but when I dig a dime and see that wreath with the words "one dime" inside it, I am almost disappointed when it turns out to be a Barber. Notice I said "almost" disappointed. All silver is good. But those seated ladies are very special coins to me. Congrats on some nice finds. HH Randy

Absolute congratulations on all of the coins and from 1 yard, wow!

Hey G4e, I'm surprised you noticed that, since the picture is so bad. their kind a of a light brown. That's the first time I have found any IH's like that around here. I kind a like it.

Whoa! NICE HAUL, congrats!

Mike

Although many that I've found around here are green, some that are brown and some have a reddish - gray tint. It seems to depend on the site they are found. Around here, yards produce the nicest green ones. Those I find in farm fields are typically darker and sometimes corroded. JMHO HH Randy

Very good finds!! I wish ALL the people who post their finds would also mention two things, what coil they are using and briefly what settings on their detector as well.

Time for ICE cold beer when the weather's hot :drinking::cheers:

Nice haul.....I like the little guy to, reminds of the toy parachute guy.

Hey Crocket you know your old toy's. it is a parachute guy. I forgot to flip him over when I took the second picture.

My brother and I have been detecting an old fair ground (off and on) for the past 25 years. Today it looks like just another corn field. The fair started up around 1865 and closed down around 1888. So the only silver we've found there has been seated. A couple years ago we were walking the field and I got a solid 38 in the X-70 TID. I started "braggin" that I had found the first seated dime of the day. JINX! :rage: What I dug was a 42 Merc. Without a second thought, I said "damned merc" and tossed it about as far as I could throw it. I hadn't heard my brother laugh that hard since I "invented" a detector that would hunt around corners, back in 1973. (I'll save that story for another time!) Well, common sense set in and I eventually retrieved the Merc. After all, silver is silver. But I'd have bet lunch that it was going to be a Seated. Must have fallen out of the farmer's pocket some time over the past 65 years. HH Randy

If I remember correctly you already had 4 seated dimes that day!!!:twodetecting:
That Merc was my chance to TRY and catch up. You've probably dug 40 - 50 Seated in that one field, dime and quarters. Did I ever tell you I've never dug a seated quarter? :punch:
