The weather was wonderful and the dogs had a great time! It sure felt special to be out detecting again. Hardly noticed my shoulder at all.
Shelley found a 1940, 1941 and a 1942P War Nickel. All of them were at about 4.5 inches. The War Nickel had a VDI reading of 6-12. Anyone wanna explain THAT?!! She thought she had a ring! That MXT is a nickel and jewelry monster!
I found all the clad.
The buildings that are still there couldn't be over 40 years old so I think there was an older school there. I got up on some of the playground equipment and could see symetrically straight lines over higher and lower ground between the old softball field and the playground. I'm pretty sure that's where the main older building was. So we're gonna give it all another shot tomorrow.
We'll write more tomorrow night if anything worthwhile pops up.
Ya'll Pass a Good Time!
