Met up with Mike from MI and his family at their church this morning. Thoroughly enjoyed the service and the video at the beginning set the pace. Have to check into Francis Chan and the 'Crazy Love' that was presented this morning. Afterwards had a great meal at a steakhouse that we had never been to before, enjoying the food and the fellowship with Mike and his wonderful wife, Tammy.
Sherry and I went to a place she had always wanted to go....to the Air Zoo. Over all the years, she had never gone because it was said to be expensive to get in....today it was FREE. Even though Sherry uses a walker to get around we did find a wheelchair for her and I was able to push her around (the only time I get to 'push her around'
) She was not only amazed at the aircraft that was there but also saw a side of me she never knew...my Air Force knowledge of the aircraft made it so much better for her. She was very impressed with it all. I am glad it was a positive time for her.
Afterwards we went back to the hotel for a nap
Old people need their naps
I know Mike was hoping to do some detecting but once he saw this 'gimp' I think he was let down. Could have swung a detector with my right arm but not much else. Sorry Mike. Would have loved to do some detecting had I been better able to do so.
Tomorrow we plan on heading back home to our pets and our slower paced community. Will take our time. Maybe hit small towns we had never been to before.
I did bring along my electronic keyboard and Sherry has enjoyed playing it. Was a little extra work to bring it but worth it. It relaxes Sherry and allows her time to praise the Lord with music..
Thanks for the prayers for safety. Hoping and praying for a safe and fun journey home tomorrow.
Thank you Mike and Tammy for the fellowship today and we greatly enjoyed Cody's musical talents at church this morning. Always a pleasure to be with your family Mike. Prayers to Mike Jr as well with his education. God bless you all.

Glad you got together to worship with Mike and his family....good for you two and for all of them! Music played and heard in worship to God soothes the soul and brings peace and comfort to us! I pray you both enjoy many more anniversary's and God's blessings are many! Amen!
