Sherry took some more pictures of those things on my legs

yesterday afternoon. The are worse now than before. 7 days should be up about Thu but doesn't look like they will be gone by then.

Here is the link to the folder she has those pics at:

I want to go detecting but know I can't wear long pants or knee pads because of these 'things'. Going back in the water right now is not an option (1) others are gettings Swimmer's Itch in our lake and (2) I borke the lower shaft on my water detector...my other water detector is up for sale so don't want to use it.

Hoping and praying this goes away soon. I just might wear waders in the water from now on regardless of how nice the water is.

Oh yeah the stocking is on the left leg if that helps ya figure out if what you are looking at is the front view or back view of the legs.

I could be wrong, but they look like chigger bites ???????

Give it some more time and stay clear of that lake for a while!

Nope this is what a parasite from snails does to the human flesh when they burrow in...they are like a microscopic flatworm that die because our bodies aren't the host it wants...they want water fowl (ducks, geese, etc.)

2 good sources of information on Swimmer's Itch.

I've been in the same situation and it's really miserable. You'd think that the dumb parasites could tell the difference between a Pete and a Duck!
Pray for patience (or a loss of consciousness).

was nice to see the momma duck and her kids in the water where I was detecting but not it losts its 'nice'ness. Do have to feel sorry for the ducks though to be a part of the cycle of life for these parasites.
