slept for a couple of hours. ordered dinner and breakfast. (they want to send me home a diabetic i swear! when i get home i want eggs scrambled with heavy cream, and some creamed spinach with butter!) no more tests, no activity, feel like a wasted afternoon, still short of breath when i take off the O2, still no idea why

Starving for Air, Food, and Sleep
So, no food since yesterday, I'm SO freakin' hungry...they just brought a menu, I'm on a "heart healthy" low fat, high carb diet! I could just SCREAM (if I could get enough breath to do so), plus I can't have all the breads or veggies I'm "allowed" because of the wrap (fundoplication)...so dry, salt-free turkey breast is about the best I can do for myself off their menu. I really didn't need this...so ticked off. I want AIR, sleep (nearly 30 hours awake so far), and REAL food!
I told them I'm a low carber, doctor is about 17 years old and knows better than me. Hopefully they will figure this out and I can go home tomorrow and eat a stick of BUTTER! Too bad you aren't closer so you could sneak me in some heavy cream and real mayonnaise - lol
I got up yesterday morning at 8 for church, didn't sleep all day, couldn't sleep in the evening; Gwen got to my house at 2:30 a.m. to pick me up, and once we got to the hospital it has been one thing after another and no time to sleep. I dozed off for 3 minutes once this afternoon though. I'm at 31 hours now.

Today I have been short of breath all day, with some pressure/weight in my chest, and pain around my rib cage. Duration over 12 hours. Aspirin hasn't helped. I didn't take a sublingual nitro because it's not like any angina pain I've ever had. (I was diagnosed with prinzmetal's angina in 1997.) My sister is going to drive up here and take me to the ER. Hubby has to go to work, it is his 2nd night
