Did my silver streak continue?

Anything else interesting?

If interested read my reply to this post titled "My Stupidity" for the rest of the story.

Here is the clad and the rest of the junk. 5.5 hours, 4 sites, 243 coins. Two wheats. Spanish coin. Nifty sterling ST Andrews medal. Took about 25 steps away from the medal and found the nice heavy 925 chain, which is my heaviest silver find in 2009. I was only a few nickels from that roll of coins goal again so it is definitely not at all impressive. 5000 coins before Memorial Day is pretty good in my book.

My stupidity. I was driving like an jerk all day. I was not being patient with all the sight seers and visitors and I paid for it. I was behind this driver who was either driving 70 mph or 35 mph. He would slow to 35 mph in a 55 zone for no reason. When we reached a passing zone I went to pass him and he sped up to match my speed. I finally got by him and let off on the gas. As my speed slowed to 70 mph I passed the state trooper. To make a long story short I got a ticket, my first in 15 or more years. I dropped a few names and he said he would write me up for a seat belt instead of 70 in a 55 which is probably what my cop buddy would have gotten me if I asked him to fix it. The cop was polite and professional and I was angry. He told me he was giving me a good break and I said I wasn't angry at him I was angry with myself. I don't know how much this ticket is going to be but I am guessing 75-100 bucks which is enough to slow me down, I suppose. This all begs the question:

Slow down a little and pay your fine!

I bet you had sore legs from too many knee bends from that last hunt :stretcher:.

Speeding ticket? I bet that there isn't one person on this forum who hasn't received one of those. :veryangry:

I did that passing a road grader that I followed for 7 miles, first time I could pass, then Bam, a ticket!
By the way, congratulations on your hard work!

Yeah I got one a year or so ago for going 11 miles over the speed limit in town. Cost me $145. It was in a speed trap where for miles the speed limit is 35 MPH then all of a sudden it changes twice in about a 100 feet.at an intersection and drops to 20 MPH - yet right across the street going in the opposite direction it is 35 MPH.
