SHORT DAYS

WITH THE DAYS BEING SO SHORT,HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE HUNTED AT NITE?WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST PROBLEMS?I REALIZE ITS DARK AT NITE ,SO GO FROM THERE.

I like detecting under a full moon. One problem is having to turn on the flashlight and making sure your beam is right where the pinpointed area is. Then you have to get on your knees, keeping the light steady bla bla bla. Just a lot of hastle. But it sure is peaceful.
I sure wouldn't do it in any public parks. They usually close at a certain time. Just nite hunt on the farm here.

its way more relaxing to hunt at night. I can go anywhere in the park at night cuz most people go home and their not in yur way. people dont stare at u at night cuz they cant see ya and they dont come up to you and ask what u r doing or did u find anything plus u cant hear them anyway with yur phones on. people dont like to aproach other people at night thats a plus also. People jog, ride bikes and many other things in the park at night so why not detect. I wear a head lamp but only turn it on for a couple of minutes per night, just to check out coins and things i find. I have a pinpointer so i can tell where the coin is in the durt without light then i just feel it with my fingers witch i do in the day half the time anyway. It is a little harder in wooded areas at night so if its real dark in the woods that night i will keep my lamp on.
Parks close at 10pm around here. Why stop detecting just cuz it gets dark???? I use a Moonlight LED headlamp from black diamond, Great lamp, the batteries last alot longer cuz its LED, very light weight, and it also has the strap that runs over the top of yur head wich i like cuz i can wear it lose and kinda let it drap over my head and thats more comfortable, also batteries in back is better. Finding my digger is harder at night , i never know if its left or right of me. Sometimes skunks will hiss at u and those other night creatures but that just makes it more exciting. Pinponting is the same at night for me, just stick yur shovel in the ground before u move yur coil.
wow , did i run long on this, good luck

Night hunting at the beach is fun. One of the beaches I got to has sort of a midway with lots of ambient light. I don't even need a light. It is very relaxing and peaceful indeed.

I like night hunting too but I do get a little creeped out in urban public parks when I'm wearing full headphones. I tend to switch over to a light headset and cut the volume down so I can hear what

I used to get a little creeped out at night also, but not anymore, ok i still do get creeped out for a couple of seconds in wierd spots cuz i got the headphones on. The bums dont bother you, well not yet.Even if u were a punk would u wanna aproach a guy at night using wierd equipment?? I;ve got the one cup headphones, somtimes it makes yu feel better. I dont use isolation phones at night. I had a cat walk up to me on a very dark night at 10pm and it scared the #####out of me cuz i first saw it when it was right next to me, i think it was attracted to the movement of my coil

Stan, just a heads up . . . using ALL CAPS is considered bad internet etiquette. It is like yelling.
