Spent a little time scouting out Forest Park for some good hunting spots for the upcoming seminars. Hit a couple good areas where I dug enough to see there were older targets to be found, then left them be until you guys to show and dig the rest. One spot I dug some deep wheaties then I got a good deep hit and about 9-10 " down I got a stack of 8wheaties with a merc in the middle all stuck together. The merc looks rough as a result. The next signal I get out pops a VERY flat-chested lady, so I stopped and left the rest of the signals. Also got a neat gold-filled charm last week at another park it looks like a track shoe (can anyone confirm this?) and it is marked with the initials R W and "CHAMPS '44" There is a old high school across the street from where I found this, so I'd like to go research who "RW" was and what he was a "champ" of back in 1944... probably a track and field star?

We are still getting some registrations trickling in.... We have openings left for all the guided hunts so get signed up for them! Take care and hope to see a big crowd there! Mike.

I like the Gold Shoe Charm. Looks like an old Football Cleat. That is one worn Standing Liberty Quarter. Variety 1 or 2? Looks like there will be some great finds found at that hunt. Hope you find out who the Charm belonged to and Good Luck and HH on your next outing.
