When out for a short hunt in my iron pit and did not find a lot. There is so much junk iron/nails you really have to work hard but the G2 will find the good stuff. Found a 1912 and 1918 wheat and then got a great signal and thought it might be a quarter but it wasn't. It was a very nice WW1 artillery collar pin and it was from E battery. Very nice shape and this is the first collar pin I have ever found. Love finding military buttons and now collar pins.

Way to work it, I really like that pin!
I have a iron pit as well My Back Yard! In a 4'x4' area I removed 127 ferrous objects and six non ferrous and that was only four inches deep!
I haven't even fazed it.

nice dates on those pennys

Thanks guys, yes those are good dates, I am in a good spot. the week before I found a 1906 Barber dime and a 1916 buffalo at this same spot. I now have to wait until the farmer plows the field, with the rains it is growing up fast.
