Took a short hunt in an old churchyard that was established in 1854. In about 3 minutes got a signal fluxing between 16-38 and 18-38. Pulled an 1898 IH at 9 inches. Dug two additional coins clad dime and 68 penny. It was starting to warm up and I was about to call it quits. I just happened to go back where I dug the IH and swept my coil and got a good tone. Um, I thought what did I do leave a coin in the hole. After scanning the target around 25 times from different directions solid 22-42 kept coming up consistently. I found this odd figuring no fluctuating ferrous number either up or down is a bit strange for a coin. By the way the e-trac said the target was around 8 inches. After pinpointing, the etrac said it was about 6 inches away from my previous IH find so it wasn't in the same hole. Dug a 1910 wheat at 8.5 inches. I have read on this forum I believe that some have never seen a coin come in at over 17 on the ferrous number. I generally run my discrimination blocking all ferrous readings at 25 and higher. I was running multi tone conductive, man sens 25 deep off fast on high trash diificult ground.
