Short hunt yields first Safari silver...

I was hunting a trail in the woods above a creek. The SEF 8x6 was attached with the sensitivity set at 18. I retrieved a nickel that gave a solid 13, two twenty gauge caps, a vaccination tag, and a 1954 Rosie. The nickel turned out the be a 1941. It is very corroded. The Rosie is my first silver with the Safari. It read as 38 with a clear, repeatable signal. The depth was only about an inch and a half.

Dang, Y'all! Only one congrats in 24 hours? What kind of forum is this? The Garrett folks would be all about this.

Sorry Markinga! Yes, great finds and a nice Rosie dime:thumbup: Many of us read the posts and leave it at that. We all could at least give a little more encouragement and especially in this case because this is your first silver find:thumbup: WTG!!!

Well, that's cause they never find much of anything with those Garretts!

WTG, mark! Now that you know what it sounds like in the wild, all you have to do is get that coil over silver again. Now get off the net and get to swinging!

GS, I hear you. I do the same thing. The forum has been kinda dead lately. I guess we folks in the warmer climates need to get busy and give the others something to read. That is an awesome ring BTW!
