Short morning hunt

Got out for a few hours after work this morning. Decided to hit a park I rarely hunt, but just had a gut feeling to go play in the iron infested site where a constant null is the norm. Slowly moving it through it, I was able to manage 6 wheats, 1 silver roosie, 1 Injun, and 2 Missouri Tax tokens in about 3 hours of detecting.

Here a a pic of a few of the finds

How do y'all handle the large null areas? Does putting in it Fast-ON ( i usually have it OFF) help any?

This is what works for me in those iron infested areas

Way to go, Doc!

Might also mix it up a bit, try sweeping through at different grid angles (like 90 and 45 diags), consider using ferrous tones, opening up on the iron mask, etc - even decreasing some sensitivity to shrink what the coil is picking up. But a small coil and going slow are great weapons! That's what makes the older, iron infested, signal rich areas compelling to keep trying; all those same challenges existed for those who came before, so trying stuff they didn't might just do the trick.
